Chieko Iwata visits for second year!

October 14, 2015

Chieko Iwata, Japan Outreach Coordinator from Mississippi State, visited Cook’s 1st and 3rd graders on October 14th.  This is Ms. Chieko’s second year to visit our school and we are so happy that she wanted to return.  During the first visit, Ms. Chieko talked to the students about life in Japan.  Among other interesting facts, the students learned that in Japanese schools, the children prepare their own lunches AND do all the cleaning.  When Ms. Chieko returns for in the future, she will visit each 1st and 3rd grade class and work with them on projects that relate to Japan.japan
